On my second day in Florence, I took a quick day trip to Pisa which is a nearby small city in Tuscany. Pisa is most famous for the Leaning Tower of Pisa so I had to visit.
It cost about 20 euros to go up the tower and the view, while nice, was blocked by a huge metal fence.
The inside of the tower consisted of many windows and bells. Above is a panoramic view of the many windows that made up the tower.
Like any other shameless tourist, I had to take a typical leaning tower picture. It was hilarious to watch as people tried to perfect their pose and the fact that there were so many other tourists there made me feel totally unembarrassed while I took the photo.
Since we were only in Pisa for a few hours, we really didn’t have time to see much else other than the tower. It was a good half day trip!
